The Sherman County jail is located at 813 ½ Broadway. Inmate visitation is on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4 pm MT time to 5 pm MT time. Call ahead for confirmation as some days may be postponed due to unforeseen conflicts.  Visitation is allowed on a first come first serve basis. Over population may lead to shorter visitation time but those at the jail at 4 pm will be served first. All visitors must bring a state issued photo id and be over the age of 18. All visitors are subject to an electronic scan and search. Subjects involved or associated with the inmates accused crimes may not be allowed to visit for security reasons. Money may be left on the inmates books as long as it comes to the jail in cash form, no checks will be accepted. Items may not be left for the inmates unless it is medication or otherwise approved by the Sheriff. No outside items will be allowed. Letters must be sent through US MAIL to

Inmates will be allowed to purchase items from the Sheriffs Office Commissary; items available for purchase are snacks and toiletry items. Phone cards may also be purchased and all items are available for purchase on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. No outside phone cards will work on our phone system.
